We sign up for real accounts, configure product catalogs, build pricing rules, generate quotes, and document our findings based on what we observe rather than what vendor materials promise.
How we evaluate
Our review process follows a consistent methodology. We assess each platform across practical dimensions including configuration flexibility, pricing rule complexity, quote output quality, CRM integration depth, approval workflow capabilities, and the overall user experience for both administrators and sales representatives. We pay particular attention to how platforms handle non-standard scenarios – the custom bundles, exception pricing, and multi-tier approvals that reveal whether a CPQ tool can survive contact with real sales operations.
